15. What if I have troubles getting started Online?
Most new users like to get started by using the MENU based navigation system we have set-up on XS4ALL. To use this type menu at any UNIX prompt, which looks like this... xs1:/home/u/username $
If this menu guided system does not work well for you, perhaps then try to help yourself by using our Self-Help system, type the command… help
at any UNIX prompt. This… help command will take you to some special pages that will answer many specific technical questions. We are working on this system all this time and strive to make it as easy as possible to get yourself up and working (and exploring) in the least amount of time.
We are adding ‘Platform Specific’ help systems to this ‘Self-Help’ system.
For example if you type the command at a UNIX prompt... xs1:/home/u/username $ machelp
You will see something like this:

These pages will guide you around our MacHelp HomePages. There are instructions on using these MacHelp HomePages at the bottom of the terminal screen.
All other technical questions that are not answered for you on these
MacHelp HomePages should be directed to our ‘XS4ALL HelpDesk’
at 020-6200294, (often busy but we are working on solving this problem) or you can fax them questions to the fax number 020-6222753 or e-mail questions to: helpdesk@xs4all.nl
